TYPE G SWORD

Want to be light? Tired of your weapon too heavy? Be the faster fighter with our ultra light viking type G swords (according to Petersen typology)!

We are pleased to present to you this atypical replica, optimized for sports combat.

The Petersen type G is an unusual model, distinguished by its pommel and its steel guard, the ends of which are folded into volutes. These swords are sometimes single-edged, sometimes double-edged. There are even scamasaxes of Carolingian origins, imported into Scandinavian territory, on which this type of guard and pommel were mounted. This style is specific to Scandinavia (Norway, and Sweden in particular), but seems to find parallels with certain Baltic weapons of the early Middle Ages.
