Original that was discovered at the Birka archaeological site, grave 520. Datation 9-10th century.
The grave, which was covered with big stones, disposed in a circle, contained a skelleton, with a shield, and a sword. The wood scabbard have been very well conserved. The original sword is 94cm long, and the blade is 6,5cm wide. We slighty reduced these measurements, in order to optimize the sword, for the modern pratical of fencing, but the general profile is conserved, for the most exigeant reenactors. This is a quite big and large sword! A beast, on the battlefield.

You will appreciate the precision work of our blacksmith. The entire sword is forged in accordance with the proportions of the original artifact. Our swords are museum level replicas! Enjoy!
