Very common shield shape, in fashion from the late Carolingian / ottonian army, as well as in Byzantine, and Slavic areas, late 10th. Many iconographical sources are well known by reenactors.

Shield, available with or without rawhide edges (sewn by hand with high quality waxed linen thread)

10mm thick plywood. Linen cover on both sides.
