HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION
Beautiful replica of the classic nasal helmet, in vogue from the end of the 10th and very widespread in the 11th century. Many similar examples have been found in Eastern Europe. Concerning Western Europe, the Bayeux tapestry (Battle of Hastings, 1066) shows many examples of this helmet.
SPECIFICATIONS
2 mm stainless steel.
Delivered with jugular straps, and leather parachute. Leather colour may vary from beige to brown, according to stocks.
Ideal for medieval sports (Eastern-Western style, HEMA, etc.).
Drilled holes for hanging a chainmail aventail (not included)
The weight varies depending on the size: For a helmet with an inner circumference of 64cm, the weight is around 2.2kg.
A medieval helmet is generally worn with an padded arming cap, for comfort.
To choose the right helmet size, you should measure your head circumference WITH the arming cap, and generally add 1 cm (for safety/comfort).
