Leather "belt bags" also called Tarsoly.

Such bags are widespread during the early medieval era, among Rus, Viking settlements (Birka, and various other places) as well as in central Asia & among nomadic tribes settled in to eastern Europe.

This specific pattern, carefully sewn on the front flap, is copied from an original archaeological artifact, from Hungary, dated to 9/10 century (Sárbogard town)

-Vegetal tanned leather
-1.5-1.6mm thickness
-Hand-Sewn with linen thread
-Measurements: 13x15x 2,5-3 cm.

We have chosen to reproduce these bags on the scale of the original artifacts. They were used to contain toiletries, or enough to start a fire. Today they can still contain small accessories for everyday life.
