HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION
"Gjermunbdu" helmet, which is the only one typical scandinavian helmet digged yet, with the Yarm one. Found in Norway. Dated to 10th century. This helmet, which has been reproduced many times, is this time declined in a very faithful reconstruction, with the proportions respected! No fantasy, only history.
SPECIFICATIONS
2 mm stainless steel.
Delivered with jugular straps, and leather parachute. Leather colour may vary from beige to brown, according to stocks.
Ideal for medieval sports (Eastern-Western style, HEMA, etc.).
Drilled holes for hanging a chainmail aventail (not included)
The weight varies depending on the size: For a helmet with an inner circumference of 64cm, the weight is around 2.4kg.
A medieval helmet is generally worn with an padded arming cap, for comfort.
To choose the right helmet size, you should measure your head circumference WITH the arming cap, and generally add 1 cm (for safety/comfort).
