This type of arming cap was undoubtedly the most common, from the end of antiquity until the end of the 11th century. Many depictions are existing in Carolingian, Byzantine, and another cultures manuscripts, even Seldjukids! The Vikings most likely also used this shape of arming cap, which was most common at the time throughout Europe.

Our arming caps are made of three layers of felt (1.4-1,8cm thick), an outer layer of HISTORICAL SILK BROCADE, and an inner lining in natural linen, for comfort, and thermo-regulation during the effort.

One sized, compatible between a head circumference between 56.5 and 63cm in circumference.
